This is a 2-day course that focuses on how to write effective User Stories to be used in the Agile Framework. The participant will understand how to build an effective User Story that will help to better understand the requirements of their customers, which will drive more value out the door faster. They will learn tips, tricks, and many useful tools to help them to write User Stories well.
A Basic Introduction To The Agile Framework is recommended but not required.
A Deeper Dive Into The Agile Framework is required.
The participants of this course will gain a solid exposure to writing solid User Stories inside the Agile Framework at the ground level. This class focuses heavily on the basics of writing a strong User Story, which is one of the Agile building blocks for requirements gathering. They will learn the difference between a User Story that is found in the Agile Framework versus a Use Case in the Waterfall approach. Additionally, the participants will leave the class with the ability to easily create a Vision Statement for their product, and will have the tools to be able to break that high level vision down into manageable requirements that the teams can use. Other topics include how to use techniques like Wireframing and Story Mapping to better understand the requirements, which in turn will help them craft even better User Stories.
This course is vital for Product Owners, Scrum Team Members, Scrum Masters, and Subject Matter Experts who work with Scrum Teams. It will help you to better understand how to craft User Stories to save time and focus on the real value that your customer is looking for.
