This course is the combination of two half-day sessions. The first half is designed for those who have a general aptitude with Excel functionality when it comes to working with data lists and tables. There will be a brief review of the basic concepts of sorting and filtering data along with subtotaling data lists before one-dimensional PivotTables will be developed. From there, we dive into multi-dimensional PivotTables, using filters and slicers, and creating Pivot Charts. The second half features and Excel Add-In called PowerPivot which delves deeper into PivotTable usage by expanding such capabilities as advanced calculations, grouping functionality, working with large data sets, and connecting to external data sources.
Identification of Excel data lists, simple sorting of data, complex data sorting, filtering data, subtotaling data, converting data lists into data tables, creating PivotTables, reorganizing data pivots, filtering and slicing data, developing Pivot Charts, creating PowerPivot calculations, reports, and distributing PowerPivot data.
