In this highly engaging and interactive session, participants will learn the mental, emotional, physical, spiritual and social impacts on one’s ability to remain resilient through stress, adversity and change. With a new understanding and appreciation of the importance of balancing each of these aspects of themselves, they will be empowered to effectively operate under difficult circumstances, maintain composure even when compromised, and quickly bounce back from setbacks and challenges, all while maintaining operational effectiveness and a high level of personal performance and productivity.
Objectives:
- To evaluate personal levels of resilience in each of the energy management categories
- To understand the impact of each element on one’s ability to be resilient
- To create strategies to increase energy in each of the resilience categories
- To gain cognitive skills to diminish negative and irrational thoughts and develop positive, more rational ones
- To challenge personal and occupational barriers to developing and maintaining healthy habits
- To identify personal emotional triggers and develop strategies to manage them
- To identify personal dominant human needs, how they are being met and the impact when they are not
- To engage in practices that de-escalate emotions, develop mental agility and empower physical strength
Outcomes:
- A deeper understanding of one’s purpose and intention, as well as level of alignment with each
- A plan to create balance among the elements of resiliency
- Strategies to reframe adverse, self-limiting thoughts to positively navigate stressful situations
- An awareness of the commonalities shared by teammates that serve as hinderances to personal resilience
- An awareness of personal and team members’ dominant human needs and developed strategies to ensure they are met
- A variety of techniques to proactively create internal soundness as well as manage in-the-moment escalations to minimize overall stress, anxiety and illness
Assessments and Activities:
- Energy Management Assessment: Participants will complete this prior to the training to identify which of the five energy management categories are in the greatest need of attention
- Training Activities: During the session, participants will engage in a number of activities designed to generate additional awareness as well as set goals for future improvement
