Project Management Professional (PMP®) Hybrid Virtual Course (T/Th – 18 hours in Class/17 hours self-study)

This course starts with 2 hours of Introduction on Tuesday then picks up with the following Tuesdays/Thursdays from 12:30 – 4:30 for two weeks.  A little more than half of the time is spent in class, and the other time is spent on assignments and practice exams due between classes.

This Hybrid PMP Exam Prep Course gives students more control over how they prepare!  Students will engage in 17 hours of “self-study” activities, including reading, watching videos and taking practice quizzes, plus a mock exam before the end of class. Using the material studied, students will have 18 hours online class time, to be spent in interactive learning, review of quizzes, discussion of topics, Q & A and comprehensive presentation of everything you need to know to pass the PMP Exam.

The Hybrid Self-Study Course consists of the following Schedule:

  • WEEK ONE: During a two (2) hour first class, students will be introduced to the instructor, their classmates, the texts and websites we will be using, PMI and the basic format of the PMP Exam, plus useful knowledge and tools for embracing the project management learning experience. Students will complete six (6) hours of self-study using assigned materials.
  • WEEK TWO: Students attend two (2) class sessions of four (4) hours each, for a total of eight (8) hours interactive online class instruction.  In their own time, Students complete six (6) hours of Self Study before start of Week 3.
  • WEEK THREE: Students attend two (2) class sessions of four (4) hours each, for a total of eight (8) hours interactive online class instruction.  Students complete the remaining 3 hours of self-study, plus a mock 4-hr exam before the last day of class.

PMP Requirements

To apply for the PMP, you need to have either:

  • A four-year degree (bachelor’s or the global equivalent) and at least three years of project management experience, with 4,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education OR
  • A secondary diploma (high school or the global equivalent) with at least five years of project management experience, with 7,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education.

Cancellation Policy: Students must cancel or reschedule within 15 business days of the first day of PMP® certification courses; otherwise, the full tuition will be charged for the course.
