Microsoft Excel 365/2026: Formulas, Functions & PivotTables for Business Professionals

Target Student:

This hands-on course is designed for professionals who want to move beyond basic spreadsheets and fully leverage the power of modern Microsoft Excel. Participants will learn how to build advanced formulas, analyze large datasets, create dynamic PivotTables and PivotCharts, and automate reporting tasks using today’s most powerful Excel tools.

The course incorporates modern Excel capabilities available in Microsoft 365/Excel 2026, including Dynamic Arrays, XLOOKUP, data modeling features, and AI-enhanced productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT.

Through real-world business exercises and guided demonstrations, participants will learn techniques to improve accuracy, streamline reporting, reduce manual work, and create more meaningful business insights from data.

Topics include advanced formulas and functions, logical and lookup functions, PivotTables, PivotCharts, slicers, conditional formatting, data analysis tools, forecasting, Power Query fundamentals, and practical AI-assisted Excel workflows.

In this one-day Excel formulas course you work through eight modules from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. with a live instructor. The class starts with formula fundamentals such as absolute references, formula auditing, named ranges and structured references, then covers business functions including IFS, SWITCH, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, text and date functions and IFERROR. You then use XLOOKUP, XMATCH, INDEX/MATCH, FILTER, SORT and UNIQUE to find and organize data, and work with Excel tables and table-based formulas.

The pivot table training module shows you how to create PivotTables, group and summarize data, add calculated fields, and build interactive reports with slicers, timelines and PivotCharts. You also apply conditional formatting, sparklines and Forecast Sheets, clean and combine imported data with Power Query, and use Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT to help write formulas and summarize trends, including how to check AI output. The course suits business professionals who already use Excel and want an Excel pivot table course that also covers modern formulas.

The course fee is $345 for 8 hours of instructor-led training, delivered live virtually or on-site for groups. Use the form on this page to ask about upcoming dates or to plan private training for your team.
