Building a Customer Centric Project Scope
Open Enrollment Course Dates: TBA
Course Length: 1 day
Course Fee: $395
Course Hours: 8:30 a.m -4:30 p.m.
It is typically at the end of the Project Life cycle that we see a project spin out of control. This is deceiving because the factors that cause the project to spin out of control are typically set in motion early in the project. Research shows that what we estimate, we generally estimate pretty well. Our problem is that we typically don’t estimate everything that we should have, and as one oversight after another cascades throughout the project lifecycle, the project budget and schedule push closer and closer to irrecoverable overruns. This short course provides the participant with proven tools and techniques that will help identify the full scope early in the project so that realistic budgets and schedules can be established and achieved. Topics that will be covered include:
- Review of Key Studies on Project Failure
- Stakeholder Identification and Needs Analysis
- Gathering Requirements through the Stakeholders Interview
- Scope Development Process
- Requirements Document
- Requirements Traceability Matrix
- Scope Statement
