Overview: Have you ever questioned why your IT team needs more budget or can’t deliver projects in time? Too often, IT and finance struggle to understand each other.  This class is here to help you understand how IT decisions are made.   Together, we will work through a simulated IT project and stop along each step to help you better understand the technology and the thought process your  IT team must go through on a daily basis.  From this class our goal is to provide you the vocabulary and background necessary to help you assist your IT team in making sound financial and technical decisions.

Highlights: This class will focus on where traditional IT are looking for business solutions.  Topics will include infrastructure, cloud computing, networking, security, audit, compliance, and timelines.   In this simulated project, we will assign roles and allow you to be the devil’s advocate, the confidant, marketing guru, and the CFO.  In the end, you will walk out with a better understanding of the process that your IT team goes through, the costs they worry about, and be better equipped to have conversations with your technical team.
