Taught by a contract law attorney and retired Professional Engineer, this course provides a practical and structured process to guide owners, architects, engineers, EPC, and Design-Build contractors in planning, preparing and managing successful engineering contracts.  Participants will develop an understanding of the Seven Phases of the Engineering Process, what engineering must be developed and reviewed during each phase, and how engineering supports the implementation and construction processes.  Emphasis is placed on owner involvement to fully understand and prepare proper information for the scoping document and RFP and evaluate engineering contractors based on capability and capacity.
